Clearly they are better than projectors because not only do they self-level but they actually choose what areas of the road to illuminate. I don't think they look as good as projectors though.

I wonder how trippy it is for other motorists to see those lights constantly changing.

Lol true but with projectors I always notice them self-leveling too. That is after they have already blinded me!

Dear lord that's a brilliant piece of tech. I can't wait for manufacturers to begin exploring the design possibilities with LEDs to further lengths. Now that sheetmetal formation and proportions have been polished to the point of finality, the next breakthroughs we'll be seeing are extensive use of aero implementation, heavy use of contrasting trim, and stylized brightwork.
