Newbie here, please go easy on me

Looking at a CPO '09 E93 335i white/coral red with Nav, Premium, Cold weather, 19" wheels, only 16k miles on the car. Dealer asking $42k, is it a good price? How much can I talk them down to?

Thinking if I should do that or wait for a M3 coupe for a few thousand more.... but I'm a little worried about the maintainence and potential repair costs.

So far Ive only seen '09 CPOs listed at $38-39k lowest,but either without sport or nav. Given that the convertibles are selling like hot cakes this time of the year, you think I can still talk them down to $36k from their $42k asking price?

Look through many posts but couldnt find any pricing on 335 convertibles, noone buys convertibles these days??
