Tool recommendations
Does anybody recommend any specific brands for breaker bars, sockets, and torque wrenches? I am planning on just buying the ones from Autozone. Duralast brand has lifetime warranty with exchange through Autozone.

Make sure to keep your torque wrench set to 0 when you don't use it, So you don't mess calibration.
And yes ... for no professional any brand is good. If you want industrial/shop grade tool let me know and we will help you more. |

for the occasional weekend mechanic, any brand is fine. harbor freight has lots of cheap china made tools (not know if they have any stores in NY).
if you're trying to run a shop, then it makes sense to invest in $$$ tools because they will last longer. then again, i've seen many shops use harbor freight stuff and they get by just fine.

Your best bet is probably Harbor Freight. Their hand tools are usually excellent and cheap and if you do manage to break something it has a lifetime warranty. You can just bring it to the store and they'll replace it.
