BMW Standard Tools = Clean install on Windows 7?
Most of my coding experience comes from threads and archives posted on this forum. Realizing some of the packages in the FAQ are out of date, I attempted to update my EDIABAS installation using BMW Standard Tools 2.11.0.
I see where the release notes of the update states 2.11 now supports installation under Windows 7. Does anyone have experience with this to state whether or not it will allow for a clean install under Windows 7, 64-bit, and if so, will it also work with our coding cable and driver? |

I think that while BMW Standard tools will load on Windows 7, INPA, and NCSExpert will only run in a 32-bit Windows environment, untill you have 7 Pro, inc which case you can run these apps in "XP Mode".
Otherwise, ya, install VMware or VBox with WinXP 32bit, and load your apps in that environment.
