Log Analysis Help
So, I know I have a boost leak, I don't think I closed my DVs tight enough last night, but my question on the below is with the timing. I haven't really logged anything at all since getting the AP a few weeks ago, and decided to do so this morning.
The below is a run through third gear (down an access road at 5:30 this morning) just before I got to work. I just got around to looking at the log. I also went into limp after letting off the gas and getting on the brakes (2AAF & 2A2D). I have the below available in the log, and Fuel Mode was 2 up through the 8.4 time stamp, then 20 through 9.6 and back to 2 the rest of the way. RPM (RPM) Charge Air Temp ( F) Accel Ped. Pos. (%) TPS Act. (%) Load Requested (load) Actual Load (load) WGDC After PID (%) WGDC Base Value (%) WGDC Bank 1 (%) WGDC Bank 2 (%) Timing Cyl. 1 () Timing Cyl. 2 () Timing Cyl. 3 () Timing Cyl. 4 () Timing Cyl. 5 () Timing Cyl. 6 () Fuel Mode ( ) Lambda (Bank1) (AFR) Boost (PSI) Req. Bst Delta (PSI) Any feedback is appreciated. =) |

Your timing looks terrible and you flatlined 4th gear. Drop to a less aggressive map... Your WGDC isn't indicative of a boost leak though.

You got a part of 4th before you let off. You flatlined timing. Known issue.

Got it. Hopefully the sport map will suit me better. Would octane be the limiting factor there, or something else? I fill up with Shell V-Power, but maybe I need to find a new station?

Higher until it throws an underboost code.

I switched to Sport yesterday, but haven't really driven around with it much; not sure if it needs to adapt or anything. Does this look better though?

but he is still getting timing drops on multiple cylinders, right? it's not confined to cylinder for example.

He's not getting simultaneous drops in multiple cylinders like the other logs. Looks ok to me.

He is still seeing some corrections, but it looks like it is just one or two cylinders at a time and it's not severe corrections. The timing looks pretty good IMO.

rader, I know the protune was delayed but are you using your meth kit? did they actually wire it?

The meth kit is installed and wired up. With Aquamist the kit is turned on/off by a button on the flow gauge so i just leave it turned off most of the time. I could leave the meth kit on, but it would just be a waste of meth and it actaully makes less power when it is spraying.
