Angel Eyes and Headlights Both On

I notice recently that when I turn on my headlights, or more like when the auto headlamp kicks in, it turns off my angel eyes to half power. Only when the headlights are off that the angel eyes are fully powered on. Also, when I leave my headlights on auto, is my angel eyes fully on during the daytime? It looks like it is only on half power during the day. Is there a way to have both the headlamp on and the angel eyes to be fully on as well?

Thanks.

Only way I know is through coding, or you could get some lux ae's which don't dim.

I'm thinking about it too! Nice link. I just wish they were about 6 dollars just like my GP THUNDER bulbs....

...I guess you get what you pay for though.

I have the burger ones for my 08 e90.... I don't know how they compare to lux, lux is supposed to be brighter I think. But mine are bright enough for me, all 4 rings are evenly lit and they just plug and play, no errors.

I installed the BMS LED angel eye bulbs on my 2010 E90 335i M-sport a few months back and over all I'm satisfied with them. They look much better than OEM yellow. Downside to them is that the inner rings are brighter than the outer rings which kind of sucks. If the outer rings were as bright as the inners I'd give them 5 stars. I'd say these are about a 3.5/4 out of 5. I'd check out the Mtech bulbs if you want to drop some $ otherwise buy the BMS ones.

Thanks for the input on BMS LEDs. I was trying to find new LED bulbs and trying to find one that is going to evenly distribute the light evenly across all four rings, to make the outer rings as bright as the inside ones too. I was trying to find comparisons between the BMS and the LUX but I guess I will go with the LUX or the MTECH. I would like to have an even distribution even during the daytime.

Well, I do have a question. Did you get the new BMS four LEDs? The new ones that BMS just came out with that has four LEDs? I wonder if that one is comparable to the LUX or the MTECH.

Thanks.

+1 what everyone else said. the OEM bulbs are designed to dim around 50% brightness. Certain LED Angel eye products like our LUX H8 V3 angel eyes are designed not to dim when you turn on the headlights.
