I'm getting some 19s for summer, will keep the OEM all seasons for winter. 2012 E92 335 xi. 8.5 et35 up front and 9.5 et33 in the back. Use will be mostly highway (62 miles each way) in the Pacific NW, so plenty of rain, but a couple track days in the summer. I order the Koni/swift coilovers from HPA, so I will drop her about 1" all around.
Seems quite a few makes don't have 265/30 and 235/35, so I'm looking at Hankook V12 and Pilot Super Sports. Big price difference. But, what about if I go 235/45 up front or 275/30 in the rear? Will either/both of those rub once she is lowered 1" with the koni/swift package? Continental 275/30/19x9.5 ET33 and 235/35/198.5 ET35 , rolling diameter is 818 each. $896. Hankook V12 275/30/19x9.5 ET33 and 235/35/198.5 ET35 , rolling diameter is 813/816 respectively. $766 -$80 mail in rebate = $686. OR Direzza DZ101 275/30/19x9.5 ET33 and 245/35/198.5 ET35 , rolling diameter is 818/810 respectively. $848. What would be best for high mileage and rain, but not terrible the couple days on the track? I also don't want noisy tires either. I'm still kicking around dedicated 17's for the track, but would like the 19s to fill in in the mean time. Again, lowered about 1" with koni/swifts. Last edited by wdlfbio; 05-03-2012 at 12:38 PM.. |

I'm going with the Hankooks in 225/35/19 and 265/30/19, but my wheels are 19x8 and 19x9.
FYI - the Conti DW's in 235/35/19 are on national backorder so it might be hard to get that size.
