e90 Sedan LCI Euro's vs US Spec
Hi all. as i am selling my pre-LCI US spec headlights i was just curious what the difference is between the MY2009+ E90 LCI sedan US spec headlights and Euro. I did a search and couldnt find anything.
i know for the pre-lci the amber lense is US spec and Euro is white, but all LCI sedans i see in the states have white lense and housings. What does the Euro Spec have that us spec doesnt? the small amber led's which are constantly on? Are the tails different in anyway? I want to say Euro spec has amber tail lights? Thanks. |

that you have in us. Also we have amber LED cornering lights because its a law (as far as i know for my e92) because i want to swap my tail lights to lci ones and i must buy the ones with the amber LED cornering lights.

i know this is an old thread, but i wanted to know... is there a Beam pattern difference in the US Spec LCI E90 headlights vs the EURO Spec ones?
Like, how in U.S. the driver's side headlight is aimed slightly lower than the passenger (so it doesn't glare into the person's rearview ahead of you)? I need to know, because i was looking at getting these LCI Halogens but they are "EURO"... just wondering what the differences are... ??? |

Same beam pattern. One side is not higher than the other, there is just a notch in the beam like this:
______________ ______/ As long as the euro lights are from a LHD car, then you're fine.

there is no way to tell then, because they are JUST the lights... i have no idea if they came off a LHD or RHD car. i assumed there was a toggle switch on them though, but i'm not certain... Last edited by N0OS3; 04-11-2012 at 03:32 AM.. |

rhd and lhd. I don't know about halogens but iirc xenons have a flap to change the beam pattern from _/- to -\_.

you can adjust the beam of the headlights individually. Buying euro or US shouldn't matter.
many have bought euro pre-lci AHL xenons for their clear corner reflectors and they have no issues

I'm just trying to verify 100% that this applies to LCI Halogen, i don't want to waste this lump sum of money on lights that can't be adjusted and will likely to not resell either

yep, looks good to me!
Now... i have another question... If i have Halogen lights now (no angel eyes as they are pre-lci) and i UPGRADE to LCI halogen, is the process a plug-n-play scenario (after removing the bumper of course)? -like... do i need to buy any special wires or anything to make the retrofit? |
