Golf tee mod

So I did the golf tee mod using the plug in the back trunk by the taillight. You simply yank out the plug that controls the vacuum hose and it allows for a louder exhaust. Unfortunately though the car is giving off a bad smell and there is a ruffling noise when my rpms begin to settle. Is this normal? If anyone has any suggestions or knows if this is normal please let me know!!

2009 e92 328i  [10.00]
I'm excited to do this mod 1st day I have the new car. Coming from a 328 with BMW PE, I'm interested to really hear the difference (If only the car would get here sooner)

N55 BMW PE is on my short list of future mods though, I loved it on the 328!

BMW PPK gave me a nice burble pop to my stock exhaust- no unplugging needed! Then again, even if I wanted to do this I couldn't because it's near impossible to locate this mysterious plug on an E93 vert.

Look at left muffler, pull off rubber tube, plug it with wtv either a golf tee (hence the name) or even a few layers of duct tape. and its done.

^Yes it works the same,
Start the car get out and the flap should be fully closed gor the first 30 secs an then open.
If it does that, then its working perfectly
