Help! 335 cab stereo gone mad
We have a 2007 335 convertible and the audio system has gone haywire.
It makes a loud cracking/shorting out noise through the speakers, even when the engine is switched off. It sounds like it is shorting out. Its fitted with factory fit BMW sat nav/tv has never given any problems before now. Question 1 - how can I cut power to the stereo as he can hardly even drive the car with this noise coming out the speakers (before we take it to the local car audi specialist to look at). Question 2 - what could cause this on such a nice new car? |

First place I would look is in left hand corner od trunk where the amp is mounted (if you have an amp). There should be a gray panel you can pop off and the amp is under it. Look for water...
