Anyway, if you read my post I think it is pretty clear I am not asking about 6FL!

I am asking about the retro fit ipod connection which goes in the glovebox and connects vis the CD autochanger.

The days of helping people out are probably the same please as the days of people wanting to help themselves.... That'swhy that response is often posted, too many people want others to do all the running.

I'm not saying you are one of them, but to be fair it wasn't clear to me from your original post that i) you had already looked and ii) that you meant a retro fit kit.

With such a specific request you might have trouble finding via search but you'd expand your chances by posting the question in the audi bit of the site as the uk section is smaller and most people seem to go 6FL it seems.

Just a friendly suggestion, hope you find what you are looking for.,

Hmmmn - I didn't see his later post ... just goes to show that when you try to help you get slapped in the face.

To be fair his original post says 'full ipod integration' and this is only provided by the 6FL option. The retro fit option is simple a cd changer emulator.

A search for 'ipod + Adapter + Photo' brings up the following:

I have an ipod, NFS has an ipod and you are younger than us...what is going on!?

Ipod + 6FL + iDrive + Nav + Bluetooth = the dogs dangly bits.

Depending on the size of your collection (please don't get excited by that phrase) you might want an 8GB black nano

we have these in the 335d (iDrive + Nav + Bluetooth ) but whats 6fl???


i just never thought to have one, i never have been or done anything (apart from driving, or partying) where i need music in my ears via some little plumbs which have no Bass


M father does not own an i-pod, my brother has a nanny one?? maybe thats for your gran fook knows?

and i bought my GF a pink ones few years back thats all i know about i-dop

6FL is the full ipod integration.... so you can browse through the ipod (Artists, Albums, Songs, Playlists etc.) on the Nav screen. 800odd songs (I suspect a small collection by most people's standards) is quite a nice selection to have at your fingertips, and if you are in the mood for a particular artist or combination you just scroll to it and it plays....all while the iPod gets refrigerated in the armrest storage bit thing ... I leave mine in the cold bit sometimes if I'm in a hurry and it comes out freezing my hands off.
