Matte Carbon Fiber Interior Trim
I've spent the past few hours looking for info on the Vinyl Carbon Fiber to replace the wood trim I've in my 335.
I really like the 3M vinyl but I'm looking for a matte carbon, does anyone had recommendations? Thanks! |

I used 3m Di-noc and i think it looks awesome. I also found the best prices over at jlevistreetwerks so you might wanna give them a call. Here are pictures of my interior in case you wanted to see what the di-noc looks like. Certainly not the greatest pictures since it was a bit too bright out but it'll do:

Personally I prefer the 3m dinoc but from past experience make sure you confirm your order. I accidentally bought CF fabric thinking that it was vinyl due to a vendors' poorly worded description of the product.

It's vinyl and i did do it myself. All the trim was pretty easy to take off except sometimes i really had to pry to get it off. I spent two weekends doing it and only did it occasionally. First weekend i spent 1-2 hours doing only the door trim, then last weekend i spent 2-3 hours doing the center console and the vents. Make sure on the inside corners like the vents you get it really tight if you do it yourself and you should also have someone else to help hold the hair dryer to make your life easier. Some of my inside corners of the vents are coming out a bit so i might redo it in the future but it's not noticeable unless you get really close. Overall i like it much better than the wood i had before and jlevi gave me a great deal.

Uhh... Fabric is a lot easier to install than vinyl, bro. It's fabric so you can wrap corners that much easier whereas vinyl you would have to get a heat gun or a hot blow dryer to soften it. Funny thing is the vendor that I mentioned was PYSpeed. I'm a little reluctant to purchase anything from them after my first purchase with them but if you're interested, I might still have the fabric at home somewhere.

JT, thanks for your post, I almost ordered the Pyspeed yesterday and I ended up reading a post saying that vinyl was easier to install so I didn't order it. What was wrong why the fiber from Pyspeed? What color did you order? Thanks

I have an E90 and went with 60x48 since it was my first time wrapping anything and i had a good amount left over. Since your an e92, 48x48 would probably be more than enough. I would check out Jlevi Street werks if i were you... That's where i got my vinyl from and they were definitely the cheapest and got it to me ASAP.
