Also, if it was two turbos it would be a lot more than 256bhp. It looks like the same engine as fitted to the 530d. Now the 535d does say "twin turbo" on their website. I'd guess this would be the same engine fitted to a possible 335d. Interesting point to note the the 330d 0-60 is now virtually identical to the 335i. Maybe that could be addressed with a possible M335i at some point (like the one series M135i) with the same 320bhp power unit? That would probably see the 0-60 down to low 5 seconds............................... but then theres the 335d......... All speculation though.......... |

I think that could be a tad optimistic. Would mean a future M3 would have to be 0-60 in 4 secs or less. And we know BMW never make the M3 be be quicker than the M5 (current versions, that is).

I think this kind of explains it...........
The "TwinPower Turbo" moniker initially denoted engines that utilize a twin-scroll turbocharger which was unveiled in 2009 (the calendar year, not the model year) with the N55 and N74 being the first engines to use this technology.[2] Nonetheless, BMW has started to apply the TwinPower label retroactively to earlier turbocharged engines that are still in production like the N54 and N63, although they do not use twin-scroll technology.[3] The N55 is the only single turbo engine in BMW's lineup as of the 2010 model year. |

I had a 320 f30 sport for the weekend. What a car! Sorry guys but the e90 is not in the same class as the f30 and the build quality is superb. Its similar to comparing an e46 to an e90.

I normally change my cars when they're about 3/4 years old (exception was my CTR as I couldn't bare to part with it!) but with a second kid on the way and thought of loft conversions, the F30 is but a dream!
