Need help choosing electronic cutout
Option 1: Raceland 2.5 Inch wireless switch cutout $159.
http://www.racelandus.com/exhaust-sy...st-system.html Option 2: QuickTimePerformance 2.5 Inch cutout $175 + $52 for cutout piping + $79 for wireless switch = $306 http://quicktimeperformance.com/QTEC/index.php The comparison: Both are stainless steel, and as (equally) configured, both would come with wireless switchs and a direct cutout portion of piping that I can weld into place. QTP claims to have the most durable motor on the market, and neither really makes a good comparison or legitimate explanation of their product without using vague wording like "high performance tubing!" so I'm asking those of you that are into custom exhausts - which would you pick? The QTP setup is almost twice as expensive but at the same time, whatever route I choose, I don't want my driver motor to die after the 2 year warrantys. I want to do all this right the first time. And also, one last side question, whats the best way to get power / ground to it? It'll be at the bottom of my car so I'm usually not familiar with wiring outside of the cabin. |

Sorry, last question - should I do this before my mufflers (like planned) or before my secondary catalytic converter? I don't want to throw codes for "service engine soon" because I failed the car's emmission test.

get the qtp digital controller, and separate microcontroller to monitor the throttle position and control the valve position. So the QTP can open in direct correlation to the throttle position! HAHAH!

Yeah just a direct dump with a pipe I would weld onto the end to deflect down away from the car.
But hmmmmm I really don't want to drop so much money lol.. I think I might have to for reliability. Any word on how to run power to this thing? |
