I don't see why not. The only thing I would wait to see is if the exhaust piping has a different rounting due to the AWD and last but not least I would wait to see the gear ratios. AWD cars historically have a tendency to have a slightly shorter gears to compensate for the extra weight on acceleration.

I doubt I will upgrade the exhaust, so that's not an issue for me.
I wonder what Vishnu's thoughts are on this? Does the AWD system have a different load it can bear compared to the non AWD transmission, for example? It's obviously got some different components. Does anyone here have an xi with the Procede? |

thanks, that is great news to hear. i really like the procede upgrades and a while back i heard a coupe with the vishnu exhaust and it just blew my mind away. sounded 100x sicker than the exhaust on my FX.

it would be great if we could hear from Vishnu himself as to his thoughts on the gear ratios, and my comments about how the different components are affected.

Offer to Vishnu re xi
About two months ago I offered to bring my 335xi to Vishnu for installation of the first Procede on an xi. I offered to do this (drive from Colorado to NoCal) for a break on the price. They told me that there were several local xi's that they had scheduled, so they declined my offer. I then asked to be inforrmed when they had the results of an xi install. I also asked to be notified about the availability of their exhaust system for the xi.
Since then I have heard nothing from Vishnu, and have seen no mention of a Procede install on an xi on this forum. |

Proced on my 335xi
I have a Procede on my 335xi and it has been solid.
My car is automatic and it holds boost between shifts which is nice. I now look for reasons to put miles on the car. I traded in my 2004 Mercedes for the 335xi and it only had 14,000 miles. This makes driving fun again. Last edited by timtech; 07-16-2007 at 05:55 PM.. |

stage 0. I don't plan on going crazy with the upgrades. I bought this car to be a daily driver (even in winter) and something I can track it a couple times a year. I may dyno it once since AMS is close and they have a four wheel dyno. I would like to see their 1000 HP EVO which would make the visit worth while.
Quarter mile just isn't my thing. unless they put a sharp turn at the end Last edited by timtech; 07-16-2007 at 10:19 PM.. |

I owned a Audi S4 B5 (2.7 Biturbo) and a Audi RS4 B5. Drove the S4 B6 (V8) and RS4 to decide what I buy BMW or Audi.
Finally I bought the E91 335XI. The BMW without the Procede is slow like a duck… but with Procede pretty cool. The only reason I bought it, was the turbo setup and procede. If you compare it, we are again in those many times discussed subjective differences. Drive all 4 (S, RS, Xi, i ) of them and you will see. But think (while you drive) Procede is out there!!!! Those are my 02 cents Marcel |
