First I'd like to say I'm a huge fan of E85 in turbo cars and will still use it in my cars but it's always good to have more information. In the article above they talk about E15 and E20 causing valve seat damage in tests designed to simulate 100K miles of driving. I don't feel this directly applies to our cars plus the methodology leaves something to be desired, but there is good information in the report which can be found here: http://crcao.com/reports/recentstudi...l%20Report.pdf Lastly, keep in mind CRC is funded by petroleum industry and auto industry. I'm betting if it was done by corn growers it'd have a different spin. |

I agree, I'm guessing we have harder valve seats on the intake side because we cant use the fuel as a lube or cooling mechanism. That is why I said I didn't think it applies directly to us but was interesting none the less.
