Amp won't turn on, help

I've just hooked up my new XD600/6 and it's not turning on. You can see the ground point in the pic. How can I tell the power cable is sending signal? I have a multimeter but I've never used it before. The install guide recommended I jump the power signal to the remote turn on, but nothing happened. Any ideas would be great, I'm stuck.

My bad, ground cable was too long.

Didn't know too long of ground cable would refrain the amp from turning-on, will keep that in mind when I'm preping mine. Thanks
