Yeah im cool with it being closed as long as it stays that way and sits flush with the body, so far I have gace it a little boom and no break yet but ill test it out some other time and report back but its that little pin that broke, I took some pics you can actually see where it broke.

This problem exists because of excessive vibrations within the trunk due to improper subwoofer placement and/or orientation. Do your trunk panels flex like crazy but you hear/feel very little inside the cabin? Do you hear a lot of rattles from the trunk and rear deck? If so, your subwoofer is wasting most the energy it is giving off on exciting panels in your trunk. There are only three remedies I am aware of:
1. Dynamat the hell out of your trunk (this may only partially work) 2. Install the subwoofer infinite baffle, "firing" through the ski pass 3. Get a corner-loaded enclosure

solution - bulk dynamat, thick dynaliner, bulk accoustic foam behind fuel door in trunk area, rubber grommets/strips under fuel door areas of contact, modify the pin inside the fuel latch (part that breaks) or replace it with a thicker one. purchase fuel latches in bulk quantities

No, that is highly unusual since mine does not vibrate at all even at maximum excursion...
