bms LED

i bought the BMS 4 LED bulbs and installed them yesterday, the LEDs are super bright! and light up the inner rings perfectly! they're so bright in fact that you can clearly see them in direct sunlight...however.. the outside rings are very dim that you can barely tell they are lit up in the day time. you can only see them lit up when you get your eyes down to their level. anyone find this with the bms LEDs? (i do have one of the leds lined up with the optics for the outer ring)

Looks great. Don't worry, it's not BMS, its the way the angel eyes were designed. We can't do anything about that.

ya i guess... damn why can't someone design bulbs for these which have leds all around as opposed to just 2 or 4 of them?!

No, the problem lies in the way BMW set up the fiber optic angel eye system. No matter what LED, bulb, or whatever you have it will still be the same. The pre-LCI E90's and the LCI e92's are the only cars with even light output.

Not hating on BMS (bought a set of led upgrades for my '01 540 and they're great) but I learned of these up here and bought them. No codes, errors, and both halos light up equally. And reasonably priced.

Those won't work on a coupe, though. Different bulbs.

Which is why I upgraded to OSS. Hands down one of the best mods I've ever spent money on.

I had the HPB 6 watt and now I have their new 12watt cree 4 led, night and day difference.
I remember seeing a lot of complaints about the BMS, I dont think they are nearly as bright as the new ones I just got, especially looking at your pictures.

I believe these are king for their price point of under $100

The reality is OSS upgrades will be the best, but that option is just too pricey for some to swallow.

Like the others had said, the design of the light rings themselves is what inhibits the light transmission to the outer rings. In fact, from the angle you took that picture none of the bulb replacement options effectively light up the outer ring. How do they look when you look at the lights from the level of the headlights and from about 10 feet away? Any pics of that?
