Race tracks (circuits) in DFW/North Texas
Are there race tracks available for racing/practicing in your own car in DFW area or in North Texas? Without being forced to have a membership in a club...

The closest thing you can come to is to sign up for a Driving Class on the weekends. They typically will run $200 per day. And depending on who/where you take the class from it will be either a 1 or 2 day event. An example that comes to mind is "Driver's Edge". I know they run out of Motor Sport Ranch. They will mix in some class room teaching with drive time and you will learn proper technique while you are at it. In DFW, this is the only way to get your car onto a track without a club membership/friend/carclub outing.

Check out Eagles Canyon raceway outside of Denton. I've been to an event there with a club, but think they do open track days on the weekends with instructors as well. Not sure of the price tho (as mentioned, I went with a group and it was $150 for an all day Saturday event - 4 heats about 20-30 min each).
Decent track, but has some mixed surfaces and a steep ingress onto the facilities.
