Please Help Airbag and Seatbelt Light On

Hi, i went through and read a lot on this topic, my issue is this. I left my front passenger side window open all the way and it rained all night. in morning offcourse the car was wet. there was no puddle of water seat was wet, floor was wet from front and back aswell. after drying most of the car i went a head and turned it on and these lights came up. Can anyone help i was thining to keep it open during hot days and then after few days take the wire out of the battery for 10 15 minute maybe this will "reboot" the system and if sensor is not bad the lights will go off, but if the sensor is bad it will stay on. will it be ok if i take the wire off the battery for 15 and then put it back? i did it once when replacing my stering wheel, anyone think this will reset the seatbalt and airbag issue.

These lights indicate a fault in airbag wiring and/or battery safety terminal (BST) circuitry. They can only be reset at the dealer or with dis, inpa, or something similar. This wiring runs along the chassis underneath the carpet by the passenger side doors and into the glove compartment fuse area. Check for blown fuses or corrosion here. Also the water could have caused a momentary short that would trigger the light but is gone now. Get the light reset and see if it comes back up.

thank you so much for your help, i would love to take the car to the dealership but i dont trust them they will fix the car but make me pay a lot more then i should. already happend to me for getting a bolt replaced. I will look into the fuse box to check and see if the fuse is blown. I think i will take i to a mechanic that is bmw certified i am sure he would have those tools that can be used to reset the sign.
I will not try to unhook the battery supply, becuase that will not fix the problem. thanks

No problem, tell me how it goes. Any reputable BMW shop will have the tools to reset the lights.
