Calgary Coding Review - Miguex
I've been searching around Alberta for a while now trying to get someone to delete my daytime running lights in my E90. I went to a couple shops who tried to do the job using their autologic programmer but were unsucessful each time. I then attempted to do the job myself using NCSEXPERT and a DCAN+ cable. Fought my way through several computer problems relating to my registry and operating system but I still had no luck on coding the car.
Stumbled onto a Kijiji Ad for ECU tuning in Calgary so I thought I'd ask if they do coding too and got a positive answer. After some back and forth about what I wanted coded exactly we set up a place to meet and that was that. Here is a list of the coding I had done: Digital Speedometer - Displays speed digitally in information cluster EuroCorners - Deletes amber corner light when xenons are on DRL Delete - Deletes H7 Day Time Running light. Folding Mirros - Mirrors fold with keyfob and comfort access Meeting up was easy. Miguex has a computer that runs NCSEXPERT perfectly and a DCAN+ table. The coding was done perfectly. A charger was connected to my battery as a fail safe in case my car died during the coding and all my modules were backed up prior to manipulating the coding to ensure I could revert back to the original baseline if necessary. The actual coding process was extremely quick. I estimate we were there for 45 minutes or so. Miguex did each code one at a time and we checked to see if it had been completed sucessfully after moving on to the next code. All in all, the process was quick and painless. I feel it important to mention that I am writing this review on my own merit; I wasn't asked to do so or given a special price beause I was expected to write a good review. Miguex offers a quality service for a really good value plus hes a pro at what he does; I'd do it again in a second and have since recommended the service to some of my family members with BMW's and MINI's. I'll also say that he does ECU tuning as well. I haven't gone down this road yet but when I am ready to I'll definately try his tune first solely based on the customer service he offers. I know I'll probably have a boost related issue somewhere down the line so why would I order a chip or flash tune out of the states when I could get great customer service right here in the city. If you're looking for BMW coding in Calgary I'd recommend Miguex every time based on value, service and peace of mind. Here's a short video of the folding mirror option: Attached are pictures of the digital speedo, eurocorners and the DRL delete with the daeos harness and Lux 5.1 Last edited by Noxious_; 02-10-2011 at 05:16 PM..
