Some pics of the reflector painting process
Hahaha, yup, hindsight 20/20, putting in a new set of reflectors probably would've yielded a cleaner look. However, the time invested probably would've been the same. A buddy of mine bought these stickers for his M roadster.
Attached are pics of the final product and the new M-technic rear bumper and lip spoiler. Enjoy! |

Ok I am having trouble right off the bat here, specifically in prying the wheel liner back. Maybe I am being too gentle not wanting to dimple/crease the outer side.
There is a small hex underneath the front fender (see picture below) - would removing this (or additional screws around the liner) make it easier to loosen and pry out? For the record I am not planning to remove my wheel. |

Check this link to another DIY I did for a fog light bulb swap, it contains a few more pix that may help.

I would advise unscrewing all screws underneath and inside the wheel well and don't be shy about prying away the wheel well liner to get at the reflector. I had the same trouble

Appreciate everyone's thoughts. It looks like the e90 LCI Msport bumper must be a bit different mounting configuration than the non-Msport (and it doesnt help that the 'ol blacklins DIY is about the extent of my car disassembling experience).
The hex screw (circled in red below) seems to be an odd size that I didnt have on hand. I did however remove the second 8mm screw (circled in green) which gave the liner enough play to access the reflector. There is another 8mm screw just past the second one that I plan to remove when I get home tonight that I think will make it that much easier. I am also going to see if I can find the right hex for that last part. To recap, looks like e90 LCI M-sports have: 2X 8mm screws in wheel well (Screw #2 and #3 from zzzbullseye's original pictures); 3X 8mm screws on the bottom edge of the bumper; and 1X mystery size hex screw. I will update to confirm this works and to report the proper hex size. |

Can anyone help... I did it exactly as is the case here, however my fender doesn't sit properly as it did before replacing the reflectors. Now even after putting the three screws back, the fender (near the stop side of the reflectors) looks pretty much like the third picture above:
