Has anyone in Mississauga area or close by replaced e90 lci reflectors on their car or know how to?? Please pm me! It's not as easy as the DIY makes it seem.

Definitely need goo-gone to make it easier. Try using a hair dryer also to heat the glue on the tape. Allows it to come off easier. I would help you but Im in the east end.

it may be easier to take off the entire front bumper and heat gun the area from the back then peel it off.
i just used a blow drier from the front and heated it up and pushed it in until it fell off

be careful not to pry too hard after you head the bumper up because the bumper becomes really soft....

Hmm i put on a lot of goo gone and then kept heating for 30 mins or so, no movement at all. It seems like part of it is under the fender, do i need to unscrew it?

Its just taped on. No screws holding it. Just have to take a flat head screwdriver and pry it off. But be careful you don't dent your bumper while prying.

I did this two weeks ago. Key is to have your front tires alternately turned in to give you more room on either side. I also removed the bolts holding the liner down for even more room. You need to heat up your original reflectors real well and use a small flathead screwdriver to pry the edges of the inside while you push the reflector from the front. Be mindful that you don't push too hard from the front because the bottom edge of your fender below the reflector is thin and you might break it. Once off, feel around on the inside and remove any excess tape that remains from your old reflector.

Getting it warm enough is the key IMO.

How long did you heat it up for? So after removing the bolts/ fender it makes it easier? You don't take the whole fender out right?

how about just spray some plasti dip over it? has anyone done this? im looking into doing it since ill be plast dipping my front grille anyway.

Heated it up for a few minutes. There is no need to remove the fender. What I was referring to is the inner lining inside the fender.

plasti dip can be used literally anywhere lol

So I was able to do one side today - Took a while, but with the goo gone and heat gun, eventually I was able to replace it.. Greekboy, I did the same way as yours, removing the bolt etc. Now the problem is my fender i.e the black plastic (near the top of the reflector) does not sit back properly. It looks a bit out of place even after bolting it back and I can't figure out why it's like that. - See the picture below and the part within yellow circle. Before it was properly intacted but now it looks like it is in the picture... a bit away from the bumper.. any advice?

I really wouldn't worry about it if you got the nuts back on and it doesn't visibly stick out from under your fender. The liner is just their for inside protection from water, snow etc.

is yours sitting properly though or is it a bit off? The fender doesn't go 'under the reflector or anything right?

Mine sit fine. The reflectors should just be pushed into the fender from the inside and sit perfectly.

How is the fitment of your reflectors?

I have an Alpine White car and just dipped both my rims and my reflectors in flat black, super easy. just take your time and go really light on the coats allowing ample time to dry between sprays.

How is the fitment of your reflectors?

Fitment is pretty decent imo. I like clear reflectors a lot esp on Alpine white!
