need to fix tint

i got 20% tint from paterson nj. the rear dot matrix is garbage, and the tint is pretty much non-existent (see-through) in sunlight. i'm looking for a place to take off my current tint, put on high quality 5% tint, and vinyl the rear dot matrix for a reasonable price. do you guys recommend regular tint or ceramic?

art of tint? the tint shop? prices/pics?

Goto the place that did your tint and tell them to take tint off your car since other place will charge you for it

and why its garbage near dotmatrix?
After couple of days of tinting, you can use a cloth and make the tint stick better to dotmatrix.

yeah nearly every shop you go to will have no idea what to do with it, you gotta go to shades of grey, they use a really cool method to cover it up. trust me.

the guy i used was Coastal Window Tinting in toms river. Jeff does amazing work. you can even sit in his shop and watch...

you need to have the RIGHT installer do it... or at least fix it after someone messes it up...

The dot matrix can be tinted properly if the installer uses a vinyl strip and installs it properly... I went from my initial install, which when i questioned the installer said "theres nothing we can do sorry" to a real professional who fixed their mess with only about an hour of time.

Pick the right installer

Before and after...

Hey if you dont mind me asking, where is that place u got your rear windshield tinted? And for how much? I brought pictures of properly tinted car, with sources (black vinyl method) with actual black vinyl strip at my cost to this ignorant man who did my tint and he said it cant be done. I guess the term "you get what you pay for" is right. i trusted him, seeing hes from same country as i...

the first place i went to that butchered the dot matrix was "Auto Image" of brick NJ. not only did they butcher the matrix but they broke a window seal too. I cant talk too much smack because they stepped up to the plate and refunded me the full $300 they ripped me off for the tint job.

Coastal Window Tinting fixed the dot matrix in less than an hour with the vinyl for $40
