Existing ULF broken -- what is replacement procedure?

Apologies for being a total noob. I have a 2006 E90 and the ULF module is bad, so no bluetooth.

Questions: If I switch out the ULF module with the same part, do I have to re-program the car? If yes, can I just buy the cable and follow the instructions in the DIY section?

What about making the ULF compatible with an iPhone 4S. Can I do a software upgrade or do I need a newer ULF module.

Thanks,
-Ross

yes, you'll need to program the new ulf and change the VIN inside the ulf else bluetooth pairing may not work.

not sure about the ip4s thing. my 2009 mulf works with ip4 though.
