Interior trim

Just picked up my new 530d with black interior only thing I'm not happy about is the trim is walnut finish. Was thinking of spray painting the trim gloss black but was also thinking of wrapping it. If anyone has black on black interior trim in a 5 series I would appreciate some pics n some different ideas for inspiration thanks

I just found this thread, which shows a black carbon fiber cloth wrap. Looks awesome, if you ask me!

He got it here:

I know you said gloss, not CF, but there may be similar options!

IMO I wouldn't do gloss black on black. Just too much plain darkness for an interior. If you want a dark theme, go with cf wrap of some sort. If you don't want cf, I'd get some samples of other wood and metal vinyl wraps to see what you like. I've heard that 3M's various metal vinyl wraps are excellent quality, textured and all. Don't be afraid to do something a little different than the usual carbon fiber or gloss trim wraps.

I had a titanium silver 330i several years ago, and I removed and sold my wood trim and had a dealer give me a surplus "plain" set of trim pieces from a customer car where they installed wood trim. I had purchased a trunk lip spoiler at the same time, so I took all of it to a body shop and had them all painted to match the exterior. It looked really good, and it was pretty unique. I agree, though, that black trim on a black interior is pretty dark. The pieces come off relatively easily and should be equally easy to wrap with a good quality vinyl or CF product. Real CF trim is pretty expensive.
