Downpipe question!

I just purchased the Raceland downpipes and they came in the mail today. When I checked them out, there are lots of metal shards in the downpipes, especially on the inside near the bung holes. Is this normal? If not should I ask for a return or just clean it out with a cloth?

The shards are probably from when they drilled the bung holes.

Just clean them out

Thanks, I'll probably just clean around the bung holes!

If you get metal shavings in your bung hole it can even cross thread your 02 sensors.

Check for leaks, you can run water through the DP & see if it leaks out anywhere. If there's no leak, just before you install make sure it's 100% dry. If there's a leak, obviously return them.
