Bump Stops
I know every1s prob exhausted from talking about these but just wanted to see what options are ahead for me.
Got Eiback springs with std shockies/struts on the car back in dec '11 and done about 5000 clicks on them now. At the time i cut the std bump stops down by 2cm to allow for that extra travel when going over bumps... Over the last couple of hundred kms I've realised that with every slight articulation or bump in the road my cars makes a slight squeak/rub which im starting to have enough of. Any remedies? I cant find any e90 bump stops anywhere Cheers Dan

The noise isn't necessarily caused by the bump stops.
A few common causes: - shocks are worn (makes a knocking/clunking or whooshing sound) - suspension installed incorrectly eg: washer was installed upside down Could also be something else, rubbing? If you're convinced it's the bump stop I can get in a new pair of E36 Z3M bumpstops for you and they're $40 for the pair. Aftermarket option would be these FK units: http://www.carparts-tuning.co.uk/en/...ter-13-mm.html |
