Recheck all your connections. The connectors can go on backwards if you are not paying attention.

I stayed w/ my Stage 1 until I could afford to buy a FMIC + DPs at the same time. That way I was able to enjoy the performance gains of the DPs while adding an FMIC, lowering my IATs + running that car at a more "optimal" setting.
In addition to the DPs + FMIC, you might also want to consider upgrading your CP + DVs. The OEM ones are made of plastic and some people have broken/cracked them when running higher boost. The most popular is the ER CP & from there people go with their preference of a DV setup (Forge) or a BOV setup (HKS, Tial, Synapse). |

Show us what you have done. If you can't figure it out put it back to original condition.

Im running map 1 but from reading today. They say that map 5 is better and stronger.
Some personal opinions please. I told my buddy that my 335i is a beast after installing jb4. He wants to bet me $100 that I cant take his 08 350z. He only has an exhaust.

Edit: if you really want to hurt his feelings run the E85/93 octane map. You would put Amtrak train lengths on him. |

With a tune? He will be trying to stick with you. Those cars are not that fast straight line.

I definitely recommend trying out map 5. Also, that 350z will get destroyed no questions asked. I ran a G35 (exhaust only) and put about 3-4 car lengths on him. (with map 5) |

Map 5. It will take a little while for the car to adapt, so dont do it right before you meet up with your buddy. My in dash boost gauge shows about 14-15 psi with only DCI on map 5 with 93 octane.

Well during lunch today we hit the highway. I beat him by four cars on map5. Now he wants me to race his brothers evo to get his $100 back. What do you guys think? I know he has an exhaust, intake and boost controller. Can I make another $100?

You should be outrunning a 350z with a bone stock 335I. I used to own a g35 and it did not have near the power as my 335. As far as the Evo goes.... ya never know with those cars. They can be complete monsters. I would be careful with that bet!!!

Glad to hear you took the 350z
I would be careful with that Evo though, they can be surprisingly quick. Your best bet is from a roll, from a dig we have very slim chances. evo's are pretty good with just a tune+exhaust. |
