black exterior trim

I have a 2011 Saphire Black 335i Coupe.
It has the seal from the dealer about one year
ago. Recently I have noticed recurrent,
easily removable, dark oxidation like
covering to the exterior top of door
window trim. I can wax it off or rub it
off with microfiber and it returns the next
day. Ideas?

I'm unsure of what is meant here, are you saying the transit tape (plastic) is stll in place?

The entire car has the "Perma Plate Seal",
from the dealer. This, I thought,
would have protected the trim.
Sorry for the confusion. Could be the tape
is ther and I will check.
Simply put, the piece has a film
each day that is easily wiped off,
but returns...
