So lately my turbo spool was MUCH louder, it actually sounded amazing giving the car throttle since the turbos sounded so nice and you heard a lot of nice induction noise, sounded like a 800hp turbo beast.

The exhaust also sounded very deep and mean! (BMW PE) Sometimes the exhaust would randomly DRONE a lot and I would wonder how my BMW PE started droning suddenly, but then it would go away. Giving the car throttle from a stoplight sounded amazing, so deep and powerful and raw sounding.


TODAY WHAT HAPPENED: 0 spool sound, exhaust MUCH more tame and when I give the throttle it's SMOOTH as butter no more jumpynesss or snapping my neck back when I lightly hit the throttle from a stop light.

I changed my chargepipe yesterday so that could be the cause OR one of my intakes seemed VERY VERY loose and was probably leaking so maybe tightening it fixed a leak.

At the end of it all I miss that nasty exhaust note I had Wouldn't mind that sexy spool either.


SUMMARY: Changed chargepipe + tightened intakes - Car Runs much smoother no more jumpy throttle, no more loud spool and exhaust doesn't sound as loud and deep.

also check the vacuum hoses on both sides of the car, thats where I found my leak

Yup I did just for good measure, everything was good to go.
I couldn't ever detect a leak on any logs or anything, but after changing out all the parts the car sounds so different which means me think I fixed a leak or something. The rear intake came out pretty effortlessly which makes me think it probably wasn't on very tight.

Car used to be SOO jumpy from a stoplight or stop sign, now it's pretty damn smooth.

Well a boost leak would make a hissing sound like air escaping, not really a spool sound.
As for the exhaust I have no clue, either waste gates were more open or even different afrs??

Yeah I dno what's really going on haha, I have a bunch of possible scenario's running through my head of what's going on, just thought I'd put this out there incase anyone else experienced something similar.

The difference in the exhaust note is also very noticable, it went from me wondering why the PE drones to me rolling down my windows to make sure the exhaust is still there today haha.

I'll do some logs on the weekend to see what's changed.
