I would start with changing the color of the hubcaps to OEM blue and white or at least black and white carbon style...just me!

The orange does not look bad! Wouldn't do it on my car....but something about it does look good!

I have the same hyper silver VMR 710s on my car right now...I'm going to switch them over to gunmetal...but have you seen the Hyper Black finish that VMR offers? Might look pretty sweet on a grey car....but I think too conservative given the directions you are considering!

I guess it depends on how much the powder coating costs...if it's not too expensive, have a little fun with it and change it back if things go awry!

ive seen this somewhere on another car but... how about gloss black face with red wheel drum? try that photoshopped, i know it would be harder to actually do but i think it would look good.

Mine are hyperblack, I don't know why I had it as hypersilver up there haha. Powder coating in my area is about 200 for a set, so it's not too bad. Most likely I'll just plastidip and then rattle can the colors over that layer to see how it looks, if I like it I'll have it permanently done with powder coating.

I don't want to do anything involving the hub/rotors/calipers. I prefer to keep that section discreet. On my old evo9, ap2, and eclipse I had stoptechs on and were black. Not much of a fan of being flashy "oh hey i got bbks, I'm stupid fast."

Would look nice though imo, just wouldn't do it.

I think red looks best if you want some colorful wheels.

Hyperblack is a really crazy color...in the pic, they look silver...maybe gunmetal...but hyperblack really seems like the chameleon of wheel finishes...takes on the characteristics of whatever is in the background!

At $200 for powder coating...I'd have some fun too and find something truly original!

I would think you would want a few more cosmetic mods before going to the crazy colors... the red would be nice though if you plan to stay pretty stock.

my bad. "stock-looking"

im sure your car is plenty fast for a street car (335 w/JB4). itll definitely smoke my car. LOL. but a drop and wheels still makes a car look.... stock. better than no drop and wheels, but still a "stock-looking car."

no i meant as in just on the wheel itself.. im not talking about painting anything else on the car. paint the face of the wheel black... and the inside of the drum red.. this way you see the inside of the wheel red through the spokes.... heres the only picture example i could find but you have to look closely, notice how entire face of the car is black but the inside of the wheel drum is red.

or you can do somethign like this...

just try taking that photoshop you did of your car with the red wheels.. and make the face of it (maybe even that slight step lip) black. and then see what everyone thinks of it
