CDV Installation and bleeding

Hey All,

I just ordered an M3 CDV (no restrictor) and I want to install it in my x-drive e92. I have been reading up on the procedure and it seems pretty straightforward. I am a little concerned about the x-drive as it sounds like the front driveshaft could pose a problem. Does anyone know of a shop (preferably in the Renton area) that can do this? I am fairly confident I can swap the valves but the bleeding seems like it could be a PITA plus I would need to get a vacuum bleeder.

Thanks.

A buddy of mine might be able to do it for you, but when I did mine, there was no bleeding of the clutch involved.

I have seen some folks don't bleed the clutch after the install. I really want to make sure to do this right so I am thinking I want to have it bled. Thanks thought.

Taking it off is a piece of cake, I did it in ~1min. But I'd suggest bleeding the clutch, even if you have just a bit of fluid escape. If you decide not to bleed it, then it's a really a no-brainer, look up the DIY to make sure you know what it takes and it's v. straight fwd.

I am fairly confident I can swap the valves myself. I just don't have the tools needed to properly bleed the clutch and I definitely want to do that. I know I can go out and get a vacuum bleeder for $30-$40 but I would rather just pay that to a shop and let them deal with the work. Plus, I read that with x-drive it is a PITA to get to the bleeder fitting.
