SSP BMW DCT 700whp Clutch Disc Package

Anyone heard of or using these?

http://www.sspperformance.com/produc...-disc-package/

Seems pretty expensive, but just imagine what a N54 single turbo DCT could do!!

i believe an m3 guy is running it or is in the process of installng the clutch pack in his car.

It would be very nice to see an n54+dct combo with a single turbo.

Actually, that's about what 6MT guys are paying for twin disk clutch setups. Not bad, although it only holds 700whp

A few have tried, none have succeeded. If I recall, it's because they couldn't calibrate the TCU to the new clutch packs, and it fried them in short order.

The dct's main advantage is lightening fast shifts, without a true software recalibration, the trans won't shift correctly and will shift as if the car was stock, with stock power. Beefing up the clutches is just a half a** rebuild. If you want big power and reliability from a single turbo, at this point you should have a 6mt IMO

If you do some research on how the dct works you'll see how crucial the software programming is....
