Damn pothole!

Not sure when I hit the pothole, but I think i was in NY when it happend .

I want to buy an OEM replacement, but can anyone tell me the speed rating? is it Y or W? Also the car has 4300 miles on it, so just replacing the 1 front tire should be fine correct? 2011 335is, 18" 313 rims.

Would you say its safe to drive on? When I take it to my dealer to get it changed I need to take the highway.

Also since I'm going to buy it from tire rack, Im going to purchase the insurance, so if this ever happens again to the tire that I bought insurance on, a bubble would be covered correct?

Don't get wrapped up in the speed rating, just order the same type of tire as the one that's damaged, i.e. Bridgestone Potenza RE50A I. The speed rating will be after the tire size. My fronts are 88W, the rears are 90W.

Not safe to drive on. Be sure to get it changed ASAP! A blow out on a bubble like that will be immediate and even more dangerous.

The bubble means that the metal wires which is essentially the frame of the tire has been compromised. Blown is imminent.

My original order was a white 335is...but before it went into production I changed my mind and changed it to Le Mans blue...
