Car matts/carpets.
Hi all,
I need to get rid of the mats in my car. The front driver sidekeeps sliding up behind the pedals.. When I look at them they are stuck (on not so well) to discs that are then screwed into the carpet of the car. I've been surfing about and seen some options. Some referr to Car Floor Mats to fit BMW 3 Series E90 Saloon (Two Locator) 2005 - 2011 for example.. The other option doesn't mention two locator.. What does that mean? Is it the two holes in the carpet? I need my new mats to be held to the floor. The way I get in and twist is always gonna push on the mat. What do you guys thinks and do you have any recommendations? Thanks Tarby |

Certainly in my e90 the OEM mats are held with two pads that have velcro finish. These pads helf self tapping screws underneath which screw into the carpet allowing the mats to hold in place. THough I have had to reposition them twice since new.
The OEM matts than havethe opposite velcro to allow to attach to the pads. ![]() ![]() Not the best system but better than note. WHy BMW could not put in bolts the matts clip in like in my B-class I never know. In that the matts never move. Even ford has better system

I bought new from stealer to change mine, as they are breaking.
Never got time to fit them. Still sitting somewhere in my place.

I've just checked mine again and they are own ones that have Velcro discs that attach to plastic discs that screw in to the carpets.. Like the ones above.. I need something better as I don't think even if I repair them they will fail again..

Look at this on eBay:
BMW 3 Series Coupe E92 (2007-) LUXURY Car Mats M SPORT Logo Black http://bit.ly/Qxuq73 I got a pair and they stay perfectly in place, they screw into the holes in your footwell carpet but instead of velcro they have a sort of plastic twist-lock if you want to remove them. I'm sure the seller also does an e90 version |

4095 feedbacks at 99% positive? wouldn't put me off. All i can say is the ones that they sent me were just right, they do a few different pile thicknesses, i got the 2n'd cheapest and they are still better quality than the ones at my local dealership.. and they stay down unlike the velcro. |

I've checked and they sell an e90 saloon version. So would you recommend? Did you get yours from the seller on the link? I have to agree if you look at the negative and neutral service it doesnt look good! I've been dicked around lots recently on eBay?? Anyway I'm still on the hunt Tarbs |

I had the same problem with my my e90 and the Velcro fasteners having them slide up behind the pedals so came up with the idea of using the tie down clips off my old e36 mats I had laying around, just used a hole drill to attach the clip in the mat itself then just a matter of screwing in the holding clip into the carpet and it worked a treat no more wandering mats
