Do I need to put my OEM downpipes back on for emissions if I still have my 2ndary cats? Some people mentioned if you heat up the secondaries enough and go for a long drive you "COULD" pass emissions with downpipes, but I want to be sure.

Are there shops that are willing to help out with this situation without too much extra added costs? I know you guys can't put names on an open forum, but if you can just let me know of a shop via PM or just mention that this is at least possible it would be helpful.

I want to avoid having to put OEM downpipes back on (labour costs).

I've been asking the same questions for the last two years.

No luck....
I barely passed with catless downpipes and OEM 2ndary midpipes (literally 0.0005 from failing.
I drove the car for an hour before I went to the testing facility.
I wouldn't try my luck for the 2nd time but then I have 6 years and 4 months to deal with it again.

+1 I came in here to post the same thing. Most shops just want the $. I think they just print off the passing results of a similar vehicle that came in before.

I did this when my sisters car needed to be tested for emissions but she was out of country.

I'm sure there is more too it than just printing out a similar report. Everything is relative to VIN# and I believe the info. is scanned automatically to govt. (could be wrong)

But, you're all right.... There are shops that will do it.
