✪ Alekshop | Bay Area Wheels Mounting and RoadForce Balancing Service

Hey Guys,

Now we are offering tire Mounting and Road Force Balancing service in house!

To ensure that every customer leaves our shop with perfectly mounted and Road Force balanced wheels, we decided to perform this service in house on our new Hunter Road Force GSP9700 Balancer and Tire Changer. Now we can guaranty your wheels will be mounted & balanced the right way and you don't have to worry about your new and expensive wheels being scratched or damaged!

When it comes to mounting & balancing wheels, most people don’t know the difference between regular balancing and Road Force balancing.

Hunters’ Road Force GSP9700 balancer goes far beyond the traditional functions of a wheel balancer and performs a computer simulated “road test”. It measures radial and lateral tire forces by applying the roller directly to the tire providing instructions for solving ride and handling problems such as tire pull and wheel vibration that regular balancers cannot detect.

Road Force balancing vs Traditional balancing:

Road Force measurement system applies up to 1,400 pounds (635 kg) against the tire. The loaded roller detects non-balance, radial-force-related vibrations caused by eccentricity and constructional variation of the tire and wheel. Unlike non-contact measurement, the roller samples the entire footprint of the tire including the sidewall’s contribution to ride quality.

Non-contact runout measurement systems (traditional balancing) often provides inconsistent results and do not take into consideration the contribution of tire sidewalls to vibration problems.

Now you are going to ask how wheel force variation is corrected?

Once the stiff spot (high point) on a tire and the low spot on the rim are identified, we can match mount wheel to the tire for maximum roundness. This will eliminate or reduce vibration and pull to the minimum.

Next step would be to place wheels on the car. Seems like an easy task, but in order to get that perfect comfort ride, our machine will let us know which wheel has least/most lateral force and where it should be placed on the car. Without having that option, even a perfectly balanced wheels can create vibration and pull.

This is why it’s so important to have the right equipment and know the difference between traditional and Road Force balancing.

Here are some pictures of the wheel that we mounted and balanced for our customers.

Wheel is being ready for mounting the tire.

Using special TPMS torque wrench to make sure TPMS sensors are not over torqued.

Tire is mounted and the Yellow mark on the tire is matched to the location of the TPMS . This is done to reduce wheel force variation.

Tire is mounted on the balancer and ready to be Road Force balanced.

Laser beam indicates the ideal placent for the wheel weight.
