yes it solves that problem immediately and works very well. they kill fuel ecco though.

never said it was anything special. the throttle maps on the diesels are definitely duller for improved fuel economy. there's no arguing that.
no way man, i have seen a 320D in action twice now... they're not slow slugs at all. my drive by wire on my 335 is so crap honda civics and GTIs get me by 1/2 a body off the green from dig, till i get boosting. Don't write off the D models a tunned 330D would give you a real supprise.

Btw the N54 is not the same engine block as the N52.
Figure of speech, i know the N54 is not in a 330 and extremely different....

a 320d is a fine example to use to look at throttle booster..... so is a 335 or any e9xxx bimmer.

thanks for your answer, I will look into it. still seems like glorified voltage enahcner to me tho and doesnt address the actual issue of the delay. it simply amplifies the signal to trick your car into thinking youve put your foot down.

ive taken a 320d for a test drive and frankly, the throttle response is dull. we're not tlakin outright performance here it goes alright, but the throttle mapping is atrocious. never said they're 'slugs'

and im sure there's something wrong with your car if civics are taking you from the green. it doesnt take much at all for the n54s to start boosting while the GTIs and civics will have gaping torque holes from a dig. put your foot to the floor rather than feathering the throttle.

maybe is because of that car has been driven by some random old folk for a long time...i'm strange that our bimmer do adjust the throttle mapping to the owner's driving behavior.

i wouldn't be surprise that people feel that the D's are slow. They are not really that mean to be a performance car like 35s though.

Like everyone that says it's a pricey amp buy one use it and come back and tell me what you think. You don't know how well they go till u run one on your car. I used to think the same thing till I used one.

My 335 is totally fine but has shocking lag in Drive.... overall I found it a little slow that's why I tuned it. diff from DS to D is night and day... DS still has some minor lag. after the first 4 weeks in my 335 i really started to notice it, pissed me off a bit i was expecting this car would just rocket.

Happy now, but digs in drive are still slow of the mark. Flooring it doesn’t really help, i do that all the time.. It’s about response time.... I don't launch my car as I love her.

yeh its quite price for an amp. if it was 20 bucks i'd grab it for shits and giggles but ive also got a family to feed to not blow it on a $250 set of wires.

I think you need to reset your trans adaptation, there was thread somewhere how to do it. i did it after buying the car and there was night and day difference.

you dont launch it? the 335i likes a bit of rough lovin. like my wife. if I dont put my back behind it she wont be happy. same goes for the car.

never said they're slow they go quite well for tractors. the throttle response is just a bit dull in comparison to petrol models.

hey Baller, I have changed maps twice since then, I drive a lot different on sport then Drive map in terms of how hard i put the throttle down... I am alot softer on sport. But overall made a diff to the throttle and shifts are smoother now... plan to do this once every 3 months!

dont think it is something you need to do so often, more so when the car adapts to a grandma driving style and you want to spice it up again. sorta like getting a lingerie for....your grandma?

just drive it like you stole it. comes easy to me due to my ethnicity
