Seems pointless to me.

Other than that, I really like it. Well played good sir.

You can never be too careful mate. Its more for dealing with a possible car accident rather than a fire caused by an overheating engine.

What are your thoughts on the BMS Powerbox? Does the car feel better to drive? Any issues with error messages etc?

Thanks

A friends Golf R32 caught fire the other day (yeh random I know) and luckily someone had a fire extinguisher... I have a fire extinguisher in the boot of my car too, but when my mate's car was on fire I totally forgot I had one

I've been in a 325i with BMS Powerbox and thought it was pretty good... they are relatively inexpensive too.

BWT, best 180 bucks on a car mod ever spent (I got mine second hand from this forum).

You can definitely notice a 10-20% improvement in terms of the feel and responsiveness of the car. There are some DMS dyno graphs that show I think about a 5-10 hp improvement and better torque.

When I get some time I will put the car on the dyno and do a couple of pulls, one with PBX on and one with it off. This should give a proper indication of the 'real life' numbers.

Every now and then I turn my PBX off for a few days just to see the difference and then turn it back on. Every time the car is transformed completely - so yeah, I would highly recommend the PBX to anybody. Its also very straight forward to install by yourself.

new mod - OEM strut brace / dome cross bar

some pics on a new mod installed today - OEM strut brace for e90s. Took the car for a quick drive after and the handling (especially in hard turns) is a bit sharper and more precise

SSG paddle shifter

Fitted SSG paddle shifters last night. I used BMS retrofit harness and the install went without a hitch (other than a minor scratch on the auto selector surround due to not being careful).

Went for a test drive and the paddles are heaps of fun! Especially in the rain. A really worthwhile mod that adds a bit of fun to the car.
