Dilemma with meth injection install
I'm planning on getting the meth kit that is offerred from Vishnu. I have asked around to see who can install it in central Florida. I got a respond from a professional tuning shop, whom I don't know if they have direct experience in the meth install in a n54 engine and another fellow member (amature-non mechanic) who says that he has done several installs previously for the same car.
Normally I would be more inclined to take it to the professional tuner, but eversince my (reputable) BMW indy mechanic struggled to install the downpipes (which rattles occasionally), I'm beginning to think it's better to get aftermarket parts installed to my car from people who actually have done it themselves. What do you guys think? |

Will the individual take responsibility for their actions if something isn't right? How can you hold them responsible for that if so? Myself, as well as others, would strongly recommend you do a trunk mount kit vs the ww kit. Too big of a risk of fire inherit to the ww method.

If you are near Orlando, I'd call Precision Sport Industries in Winter Park. They'll take care of you. They installed my Vishnu trunk mount PPS kit way back in the day.

You may want to tackle the install yourself. I say this as I have that meth kit and while it works flawlessly, it is a maintenance item and things will occasionally need to be tended to. When you install yourself, you'll know exactly which points need to be checked. Again, you're dealing with flammable liquids here and I've caught two leaks already myself. Not install related either..just leaks cropping up over time.

I'm not sure what the going rate is nowadays for meth install. I've had my meth kit for at least 2.5 years.

Get your hands dirty on this one. Try a DYI for the reasons mentioned above. It's a pump, some hose. A few wires and a nozzle. Save the $ for more mods! Install is so much easier now than it was when pump and tank both were in trunk, gauge was on dash. Now most kits are all in the engine compartment.
