Time to change plugs?

2010 n54 25,000 miles.
Tuned since 2,000-3,000 miles..
Fbo for 10,000 miles
E85 mix for 3k miles
Basically no meth

I ordered a set of plugs from tischer but now im wondering if its even worth to change if the car is running good?
Or if its time anyways?

I'd go ahead and change them. I was told every 20,000 on a tuned car.

the bmw spark plugs should be good for at least 100.000 km (some say 100.000 miles) but there is not wrong with changing them.

You should change them at LEAST ever 50k. BMW normally does when you get your oil changed around that time.

If your car is running fine with no idle blips, no misfires, I would leave them. It can't hurt to do them but if it ain't broke...

Wait until you get that 1st misfire code... No point in making extra costs by replacing plugs that are currently working fine

Yea, it was a impulse buy but i have the plugs coming in this week...
I was thinking if it aint broke dont fix it, but since i have them i might aswell change em now. Since at 22K tuned miles im sure the day of misfires will come soon.

I'm in the same boat; my car was acting up and I thought it was the plugs so I purchased some. Ended up not being the plugs, I have about 15k on the car and am debating on whether or not to throw them on.

On cars where the condition based service interval tracks spark plugs (not all 335s track spark plug use, for whatever reason) the service interval was set to around 47k miles. The non-turbo cars have them set to 100k miles (160k km) but I find that most customer cars that come through here with any more than 60k miles on their original plugs can definitely see a benefit with new plugs - better cold start and better responsiveness. 60k miles on plugs is a lot, and it shows in how much the electrodes are eroded.

We usually recommend 20-25k on a tuned car...

5soko if you drive anything like 1lumi I seriously doubt your plugs are bad.

Fwiw I put 32k miles on my 09 e90 lci and never misfired. The plugs looked great when I pulled them too. Probably could have gone a bit longer.

The rule is, if you beat on the car you'll be doing maintenance far more than those who baby their car.

Roflmao! Good advice. He can always pull 'em out and check how they are though, since hes been tuned for awhile now.

I've been tuned since 1k miles and at 26k I started getting a gnarly misfire, guess what it was, PLUGS! So I'd say keep them. They're good for about 45k on stock boost, but when you're running upped boost, they seem to die out around 26-30k miles

Car misfired again on the same cylinder last night looks like plugs and injectors weren't the culprit

coils? switch the coils around from the cylidners not misfiring, to the ones that are misfiring.
