Red tire failure icon on after install!

I just got my LC 818 mounted, drove about 3 blocks and the red tire failure icon came on....I immediately pulled over and the tires are fine and holding pressure??? Maybe they forgot the TPS sensor...Just a bit concerned lol!!

I really hate people that fail to check shit....my front tire has 9 lbs of air in it! Someone clearly forgot to air it up

this is no slock house either...had a SLK Mercedes, Porsche and a M6 in the shop. Mine was a after hour job because they could get to it...this is the kinda shit that happens hen ou are in to big of a hurry to get the bar....my kids where in my car snd thank god I went home instead of the HWY. Heads will roll tommorow

Well about 3 hrs after filling up the tire I got another warning light and the tire was low....I am guessing either it is not seemed right or they screwed up a valve stem....had to have my car towed....prett PO!!!

If the tire holds pressure for an hour or two, just fill and drive back there at moderate pace. As long as the TMPS is yellow there is no risk of blowup.

This sort of thing happens occasionally. Either the valve is not mounted properly or the tire bead not seated. Have them offer you some rebate on future stuff for the inconvenience of having to come back and be happy.

I was just a little PO lol!! Last night. Checked the valve stem and it had air coming out of it...took it back and they are saying I needed a new TMPS sensor, they have a kit but there kit will not seal because they have the "green kit" and I need the "silver kit".

I ran into the same problem and the shop fixed twice but it still leaked air, so I went to discount tire and they got it done in 20mins.

The silver kit is the valve stem, the different lengths are color coded. A lot of shops will transfer over TPMS from an OE set to a new set without putting in a new valve with new seal and it is very prone to leaking either at the seal point or the valve core.

^^^ Reseal kit should solve the issue if you re-used your TPMS.

I replaced all of mine to.....the shop broke the valve and tried to cover it up....I got my money back.
