Some small changes to the 335D

Took some shots today during my lunch break. The sun is out!

I've put on the Duke Dynamics side skirts (similar to M-Tech but more full bodied). CA Automotive F-Carbon brake kit front and rear with Pagid RS5 blue pads, and BBS red centre wheelcaps for my LMs. The D is going to the Nurburgring over the August bank holiday weekend, so I thought a set of good stoppers would come in useful after seeing how spongy the OEM set-up got on my friend's 335D.

The brakes do fill the wheels very nicely..

I just love the red centre wheelcaps, so unique and they make the LMs stand out so much more.

Whoooaaahhh!! Your car just gets better and better!! It is now even more stunning than the last time. Great additions.

BTW - Do you know is it possible to get an OEM M3 lip spoiler for the boot lid yet. That is a MOD that I wish to do to mine.
Cheers.

Thanks You can but not in the uk, yet. You can most definitely get one from Germany. Have you seen the lip spoiler on the Alpina B3? I'm waiting for that

Yep the Alpina lip is nice too - although perhaps a bit big, I would prefer to keep the car as 'OEM' as possible.

Got mine for www.ca-automotive.co.uk They sell for slightly under £3000 over here.

Lowered on H&R Euro Race springs. I have also spaced the rear wheel out another 5mm using H&R spacers. I had to roll the rear arches or else it will rub under load.

Yes, I sprayed the grill myself.

id like to lower mine when it arives but not sure if coilovers are worth it.

are u happy with the race springs? its just that i dont really want to shag up the original shox cos surely theyre going to be pricey when it comes to replacing them? could u hazard a guess to their life expectancy?

thanks!

IME, coilovers require a lot more attention than just bolt on and play. They need to be mantained ie: cleaned, oiled and the collars loosened once in a while so that they don't seize. I wouldn't drive my car with coilovers over winter in the UK. I had an E46 M3 prior to the 335 and I take my coilovers out before summer ends.

I'm totally happy with the race springs. Stock shocks is likely to wear out maybe after 50k miles or so, but in the grand scheme of things, replacement shocks at 50k miles is not unreasonable. Source your parts from places like German and Swedish or Euro Car Parts, theya re much cheaper for the same thing you get from a dealer.

I still have my Duke Dynamics rear bumper and diffuser to go on and my boot install to complete, both will happen over next week and then the car will be on display at Gaydon next Sunday.
