Slighty Bent Rim???
Never got a bent rim repaired before, one of my front wheels is slightly bent and is causing vibrations on the freeway, I know its bent because I got the run-out measured although its not visible. My question was it safe to get it fixed, sometimes I have heard of the wheel cracking after the repair because it weakens it, I have the Avanti garde M359 wheels

Your concerns regarding weakening and potential cracking or bending again are valid. I think most shops heat the region up with a torch or something, then bang or roll them out. Few shops do them without heating.
Whether it will fix your vibration or not is a hit-or-miss. I tried a few times; I missed. |

If the bend isn't too visible, the wheel didn't bend much and didn't put too much stress on the metal. Normally with cracks or larger bends, the likelihood of it bending/cracking again is greater since the metal has already deformed from it's original form. However, since your bend is barely visible, I don't see any problems. It's safe just as long as you go to a reputable shop who knows what they're doing.
