To change or not to change - that is the question - sparks plugs
so i'm at 44k, Cobb stage 1 aggressive tuned since 42, dealer refused spark plug change under warranty saying to come back at 49 and he;ll do it since the car is saying due in 8k.
I'm getting mid life oil change (8K) and walnut blasting done this Friday. Custom hybrid intake to be installed soon after the oil change. Should I change the plugs myself or wait another 5K for the dealer to do it? |

I agree with idrift4wd, unless you're getting misfires I wouldn't mess with them. Also a quick side note, the dealer will gap for stock. As you go from stage 1 to 2, you may need to reduce the gap to prevent high hp and high boost related misfires.

40k miles here tuned since 36k miles. Just ordered my plugs as getting rough idle (more on hot temp) and the rare misfire (not even coding). Anyway heard those plugs are Backorder (and confirmed from a seller on ebay) for 45-60 days. If you think you might need them soon just order now ! Got a great deal on ebay (as some seller have huge shipping fee to canada)

If you don't have misfires or rough idling, let the dealer change them when the time comes.

I would normally say change them but since you are due in 7-8K and not experiencing any symptoms I would just get them changed at the next service.
Normally we recommend 20-25K when tuned as a good change interval. Mike |

I'm in the same situation, my SA told me to come at 49,000 (im at 45,000- tuned for the last 5k) and they will replace the spark plugs, i say if you dont get misfires i would wait.
