Probably not well. Mostly due to boost control.

How so? Just curious as I'm not familiar with 335is stuff.

IIRC, the rev1 didn't have control over both boost solenoids, which is also why it had trouble building the boost levels we see today. That is some old ass tech really, I remember back in 2008-2009 we had numerous warnings that 18 psi would blow motors lol. Now nearly anyone on meth runs that.

The JB3 boost control was also a joke back then, I recall, being one of the first guys running meth, a boost curve that was 16 psi at 5000 RPM ramping to 17.5 at redline lol. Mostly due to how the JB3 targeted boost back then. PID boost targeting does wonders (JB4).

Ah, memories.

edit- Just for fun, I dug up a few of those initial meth run logs on a JB3.

Man, how far N54 tunes have come.

If you're trying to save money, why don't you just get the Procede Rev 2.5SE? It's still on sale for $495. You'll be able to run all the latest firmware and maps. The only real world disadvantage over the latest version (Rev 3) is that you'll need to buy a $25 serial to USB adaptor when it comes time to update.

Wow, that's one scary boost curve! So will the newer Rev's work on the 335is?

Rev2 onward should work fine on your 335is. The problem with piggybacks and the 335is is the fact your factory timing curve is so much lower hence you won't see nearly the same gains at the same boost level as a non-is. I highly recommend going with a flash tune for your car.

I know a local 335is DCT that runs Cobb and it runs perfectly with no drama.
