so what happens wen u already have the aero lip glued on and u decide to paint the mesh black. will i have to re-glue the lip?

I don't understand why you can't take the bumper and lip off as one piece? Am I missing something?

The "panel" on the passengers side of the 328 i mesh grille is easily removeable.

Exacto knife. I had installed 328i mesh grilles with "panel" still on I took the car in for an oil cooler retro. and the tech removed the panel. looks perfect IMHO much better than painting I painted my kidneys a couple of weeks ago and have a few small chips in them already. Once someone offers them I will just buy new ones.

But the OEM 328i mesh works just fine..no need to paint. My dealer charged me @$60 for the set

probably or a knife or even a scissor, utility knife..it is not that difficult.

Painted Lower Mesh



im actually removing my front bumper tomorrow cause i need to repaint my lower mesh. The mesh started to chip, so im going to start over and apply more coats of clear. Im planning on doing a step by step with pictures of how to remove the bumper and the lower mesh. Ill post when im done

well dont forget you still have to remove A GOOD AMOUNT of fender lining screws in order to get these:

PS: These are really the only thing that makes this process time consuming. Everything else to super easy.
