See Pics, first thought it was ice, but not way in this 104 degree weather.

It sort of looks like an insulation foam.

Looks like crystalized DEF fluid. The area looks to be below the passanger side engine compartment which also happens to be below where the DPF is located. Dealer it, you may have a leak in your DEF line.

Correcto Chris as per another thread it looks like DEF crystalized, Amigo duramax you have the BMW clap LOL sorry a leak!!

100% sure its the urea. I had two seperate incidents with having my urea tank overfilled during annual service appointments. The urea overflowed for a couple of days and looked EXACTLY like that, but MUCH less of it came out. That looks like a pretty good-sized leak and doesn't appear to be near where my overfill leak occurred (right in front of and behind the car panel that was the urea fill tank lid.
